The term “Malumpati” is actually a portmanteau of the native word “malumpat” and the Ati, an indigeneous group located in Panay. “Malumpat” means “will jump” and the combination of the two terms refers to the time when the spring was used by the Ati to freshen themselves up.

Aside from deeply refreshing waters, Malumpati Cold Spring is also surrounded by a picturesque scenery of Malumpati's various flora. Aside from swimming in the refreshing waters, there are several ways that guests can enjoy the natural atmosphere and the turquoise waters.
